24 of40 Coefficient of Lift, or Airfoil Ratings Training
Sam Metrical rates this airfoil at 0.7!
The shape of the airfoil affects how the wing produces lift. Remember that lift is produced when the air flowing over the top of the wing is faster than the air flowing underneath it, creating lower pressure on the top. Some airfoils are shaped better for producing lift than others. We engineers like to give each airfoil a number called the coefficient of lift, which is like a rating number.
