Turboprop Engines

The turboprop engine is just like a turbojet engine, but with a propeller attached in front that's powered by the turbine inside the engine. This makes it more powerful than a propeller turned by a piston engine. Unlike a turbojet, where all of the thrust comes from the high-speed hot xair exiting the exhaust section, all of the thrust in a turboprop comes from the cooler air pushed by the propeller.
