A goal of DO-IT is to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in academic programs and careers.
Click here for Center for Accessible Technology (C for AT) - The Center for Accessible Technology is a non-profit organization that works with children and adults with disabilities, their families, teachers, counselors, and employers to explore computer systems, adaptive devices and software. They assist people in gaining the knowledge and expertise needed to make the best decisions about selecting and using adaptive computer equipment. C for AT is a major contributor to PlaneMath.
Click here for Alliance for Technology Access - The Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) is a network of community-based resource centers dedicated to providing information and support services to children and adults with disabilities, and increasing their use of standard, assistive, and information technologies. Centers can be found all across the country. C for AT is an ATA site.
CommonThread - "For challenged young people by young people." This site has taken over some of the functions of the now defunct Convomania site, which was run by Apple. It features chat rooms, story postings, mailing lists, software, and other resources to help disabled youth interact with one another.
